Nokia N96 versus iPhone 3G

  • User Interface:
iPhone and its revolutionary multi-touch technology is far ahead of Nokia N96. In addition, the iPhone includes a 3.5-inch screen, whereas the N96 comes with a 2.8-inch one.
  • Camera:
N96 is a winner with 5 megapixels and a LED flash. iPhone has only 2 megapixels and no flash. The N96 also comes with an additional VGA camera on its face for making video calls.
  • Size:
Even though N96 is lighter than iPhone, it looks bulkier. Also, iPhone is thinner compared to N96. When it comes to design, iPhone is the winner.
  • Multimedia:
N96 is a clear winner here as it can play MP3s, AACs WMAs. It also allows users to drag and drop files from their system. If you have an iPhone, you have to deal with iTunes and this can be frustrating many times.
  • Battery:
    iPhone is a winner here.
For Audio playback 14 hours (N96) vs. 24 hours (iPhone)
For Video playback 5 hours (N96) vs. 7 hours (iPhone)
Standby time 220 hours (N96) vs. 300 hours (iPhone).
  • WebApps:
The iPhone has the App Store for third-party applications, while the N96 has the collection of applications made for the Symbian S60. To me, there is no winner in this category.
